BET, "galera" chyba jednak nie pasuje do kontekstu utworu. Raczej chodzi o kambuz jak pisze mikołaj.

"hangman" w tym kontekście to egzekutor, osoba, która przejmuje statek od kapitana w miejscu w którym będą go rozbierać na części.

"beaching" to raczej nie kotwiczenie ale brutalne 'wypchnięcie' statku na ląd. Niezwykle przejmująco to jest opisane w tym utworze.

Kooba

Jak najbardziej "we'd ride" czyli "we would ride" to może być czas przeszły. Ma to podobne znaczenie do "used to do sth": I used to go to school when I was a child=I'd (I would) go to school when I was a child.
